Pulls and Handles
Cabinet Pulls and Handles
When it comes to selecting the hardware to use in your home or office you have so many style choices! These choices include the option to use all knobs, all pulls, or a combination of both. Pulls are usually longer than knobs and will allow you to install them on larger cabinet doors and drawers. There are so many style choices for pulls and handles from very sleek and modern looking to very ornate and more like cabinet jewelry.
Selecting the perfect pull
When thinking about purchasing cabinet pulls, the first step is to know what drill center measurement you need. Are you replacing existing hardware? Are you using the same screw holes from your existing cabinet hardware? If so, that measurement will drive all of the following choices. If you are installing hardware on new cabinets or on cabinets with no existing drill holes, then the sky is the limit! The most popular size for drill centers are 3", 3 3/4" (or 96mm), and 5.04" (or 128mm).
The next option you should consider when shopping for pulls and handles is the style that you are looking for. The style will also help drive your decision-making process. Are you looking for a sleek and modern look? A traditional look? Do you want your hardware to be very ornate and be a bold statement in the room? This decision will help you narrow down the options and then you can look for the proper finish. Check out our selection of themes to help narrow your search.
When thinking about the finish, you can find something in the room that you would like your hardware to coordinate with. Sometimes, that might be the other hardware in the room. For example, if you have stainless steel appliances, a great choice for hardware would be either stainless steel or satin/ brushed nickel. You might have a backsplash with some copper tones in it that you want your hardware to accent. You could also find some of the beautiful glass options that are in a wide array of colors to accent a special decorative piece you have in the room.
