Ammonite are fossils from Madagscar. Gemstone quality that has been cut in half and polished. Abundant in all oceans for nearly 330 million years until the time of the demise of the dinosaurs. The ribbed spiral form shell lead to its name from the Greek ram-horned god called Ammon.

The Acacia Wooden Lid is topped with a Ammonite Shell Knob. The shell is attached to a glass cabochon that is glued to our hardware.
